As he looked up Argyle Street and turned around, with absolute surprise, there was the Police van
open at the ready for it's next customer - Colin! Four cops surrounded him and one did their duty
- hand-cuffed Colin and bundled him into the back of the van. The van went skirtin' off to the
cooler!
As the van arrived at the station Colin was taken to the desk. The sergeant in charge announces,
'Name?';' Address?';' Date of Birth?'; 'Ok empty your pockets'.
Colin goes ahead and empties his pockets and out comes the small relay he bought back at Maplins
electronic shop. The sergeant looks at it with some alarm and asks Colin, 'What is this for?'
Colin responds, 'The relay is for an ultrasonic detector for security.'
He continues, 'As you see beyond that dark room there? As you enter into the room the light
goes on itself; and as you leave the room the light goes off itself.'
He continues the project is very good for home security to obviate the gumby burglin' your
home.
The sergeant steps down and tells himself, 'Yeah, ok!'
Colin added, 'I work in electronics despite the fact I have Epilepsy.'
He is led away to spend a night in the cooler. He says to himself, 'Get the head down!'
At 0645hrs the door opens and the sergeant announces, 'Breakfast Anderson.'
Colin stirs and opens his eyes to his amazement to see black pudding; fried tomatoes; an egg
and mushrooms! He guzzles it down as he was as hungry as a siberian tiger!
The door opens and the sergeant announces, 'Anderson, you can go.'
And Colin gathers himself and puts on his shoes in a hurry! He was released, without charge, into
the mornin' sunshine. He says to himself, 'Best breakfast ever - £100 - but a bit expensive!'
As for the Police, well it's understandable - they kept tabs on Colin's movements forward going .....
As for Colin, well it was an injustice to bang up a member of the Union of the Allied Forces .........
