The Earth's Axis

Looking west the Earth's axis turns anti-clockwise with respect to the Sun; but on the Sun's axis
= clockwise; does this mean that the Sun has a cold side and a hot side as it turns from winter to
summer respectively?
But in summer the Earth is nearer the Sun ..
In winter the Earth is further away from the Sun ..
