I paid a visit to the prison. I could see the sad eyes; the slow eyes; the despondency on the men's faces. It seemed to me that the prisoners were destined to become thieves as a result of not their fault, but the fault of the government of the day - ie - not acceptin' the people that have been knived and fought their battles in the streets of Glasgow. They have the scars to prove it. Don't get me wrong - there are bad characters but it's the fault of the government of the day that discard them and people have to sow the seeds of despair. Thus they have to fend for their children, but the government of the day ignored this fact.

What was more was that the education system unfortunately failed some children in villages. Those that are expelled should be given the higher priority to gain education before they fall out and lose their capacity to learn.
