Ingredients:
500 grams diced Braising Steak; 1 large onion;
2 sliced square sausages; 1 packet of Bell's puff pastry;
an Oxo cube; pie vent
Method:
Chop & fry onion in large pot to brown;
Dice meat into pieces and brown in pot; sweat the meat;
prepare casserole dish
Add cut square sausage to the casserole base & top
Transfer meat & onions to the casserole
Add herbs & boiled water to the casserole to purify the food
Add the special ingredient - an Oxo cube.
Cook casserole for exactly two hours; @ 150 degrees
Grease the pie dish with the pie vent placed in the middle;
add cooked casserole to the pie dish; roll out the pastry into a thin rectangle.
Add some flour onto top. The 'secret device' to cook this dish well is the
swan funnel (or pie vent). The bonus is the meat juice after two hours in the oven.
Cook in oven for 30 minutes @ 200 degrees.
Serve with selected vegetables = dice the carrots + cut off 3/4 broccoli stems.
