London 1990. I prepared well.
My bag (one bag only) was placed in the middle of the lounge. First requirements
: toothbrush, razor, blades, hair brush & gel. It was necessary to have a sturdy
pair of shoes; two pairs of socks; two kegs and two shirts - one casual. One suit
with tie - chinos + green jacket.
At Central I was already excited with the concept of going to London
after such a long time - I was last there in 1985. It already had the feel of
London at O'Leary's Bar.
When I left the Cafe I hailed down a taxi to get to my hotel. My RAF training
had kicked in as soon as I stepped into my hotel room.
