Upstairs Downstairs

Im working upstairs,
Im walking downstairs.
And now I am feeling so glad,
I hear in your voice,
A clear and present choice.
To love you would not seem so bad.

I look at your face,
So pale, full of grace,
Your smile fills me up with joy,
Im falling in love,
With you, my little dove.
Were I younger, Id be your boy.

My heart starts to beat,
You, to me, are a treat.
Such a good looking lady, its true.
Faster, faster it goes,
Like a farmer who sows.
Seeds of joy, when the sky is so blue.

Now this is the end,
of this ditty my friend,
May everything go well with you,
Ill keep you in mind, as a woman so kind.
I now say, Au revoir and adieu.
