Particularly for Self-Publishers ...........................
Save up as much as you can to produce your book.

There are basically five elements required to self-publishing:
(1) Buy / borrow a computer with MS-Word or a good word processor. Currys sell them @ knockdown prices.

(2) Find a reputable printer to print the book - ASAP Printers of Exchange Square in Glasgow are good.

(3) Find a reputable company to produce your covers - SoapBox Design Co., Eglinton Street in Glasgow are good.

(4) Find a reputable company to bind the book - Camerons of Commerce Street in Glasgow are good.

((5) And finally, make a good marketing strategy that will sell your book.

The unit price of the book should be reasonable because volume is more important than unit price. When you develop copies of your book to be printed & bound start with say twenty copies. This is an advantage because as you go through the checks of your story yourself (this will save costs for a proof-reader) you will find the errors - and - in essence - they can be corrected for the next batch of twenty.

The lower the price the better because everyone wants a bargain!!!!!!
- and then as you get more customers you can increase the unit price for the next batch.

The first move is to complete your manuscript; the second move is to find a reputable printer. ASAP are a reasonable price; the third move is to get covers for the books.. The final move is to have them bound. And then you have your book!

Capital Investments for a batch of twenty are as follows which will bear fruit for sales of your books.
